Randolph Community Television (RCTV) programs three public access channels 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on the Comcast and Verizon cable television system. Local shows produced by Randolph residents are aired every week and the programming is as diverse as our community. Viewers can count on us to be a mirror of their hometown. RCTV is a non-profit corporation and is responsible for operating three P.E.G. (Public, Educational, Government) Access cable TV channels in Randolph, Massachusetts.
P – Public Access Television: (Comcast 8 & Verizon 30) RCTV is committed to provide a vehicle for the airing of locally produced programming, created by a diverse variety of individuals, groups and organizations within our community. This programming is non-commercial in nature, and the producer has full creative and editorial control. In the production and airing of this programming, RCTV makes channel access, equipment, facilities and expertise available to all segments of our community.
E – Educational Access Television: (Comcast 22 & Verizon 28) RCTV administers channels to allow the airing of programming produced by RCTV staff, faculty and students of community educational institutions. Programs usually center around the activities of schools or colleges and may include fully televised courses of instruction. Educational programming is often cablecast on channel 22.
G – Government Access Television: (Comcast 9 & Verizon 29) Gavel to Gavel coverage of local government public meetings is the mainstay of this programming, but programs that are informative or satisfy the need of the community, such as fire safety, health, recreational or employment opportunities provided by local government are also offered.
